“It’s past nine and Oliver is yet to show up!” I mumbled impatiently as I paced back and forth in the hotel room.
“Relax, he's probably being careful on his way here,” Clinton said, seated on one of the couches.
“Relax is something you tell someone who is few minutes late to work and not to someone whose world could potentially end with with just one wrong move!'' I retorted. “And don't tell me to stop overreacting, I'm not. I’m just worried about him, that’s all. If he doesn't show up then it means–”
A gentle knock suddenly graced the door, cutting me off. Clinton and I shared glances at each other before I went briskly to the door with my heart racing like a sportscar. I opened it only to see two of our guards standing beside the room service staff.
“Room service,” the man said. I frowned for a split second but I soon recognized him beneath his cap and glasses. I almost screamed Oliver’s name. He was able to fool them but certainly not me.
“Yes, come in.” I ushered him in
