Icarus picked up the brush and dipped it in the paint before he started drawing on the canvas. A lot of people snorted disdainfully when they saw how random his strokes were.
It took extreme delicacy to make an exquisite painting. An artist couldn't use too little paint if he didn't want his work to look too drab. However, he couldn't rely on excessive use of paint, either. Otherwise, it might've pulled the entire focus of the painting.
Icarus started with such a casual and random stroke that it was practically impossible for him to create a quality painting now.
