Chapter 139
Slicktop's face darkened, but he remained silent. In the ring, Icarus fixed Maximus with an icy stare and asked, "What kind of technique are you using?"
Instead of answering, Maximus let out a furious roar and charged at Icarus. He tensed his muscles, turning them as hard as steel. He refused to believe that Icarus' physical strength could surpass his own.
Maximus aimed a devastating punch at Icarus' side, his fist glowing with that same faint purple energy. The sheer force behind the blow made the air whistle sharply.
"All show and no substance," Icarus muttered, his face blank. "You haven't pushed your body to its limits. That's why you'll fail."
Icarus countered with a seemingly effortless palm strike. Even so, Maximus felt like a mountain was crashing down on him.
"I-Is this... energy projection? Is he actually a grandmaster?" Maximus mumbled in disbelief. He tried to pull back, but he could not dodge in time due to his massive frame.
