Chapter Thirty Nine
The walk towards the clearing was silent after that, neither I nor Claude spoke a word. The Council members loved Natalia because she could be easily swayed. Because she was materialistic and selfish. I was the opposite I was a small girl from a small pack in the middle of nowhere, a girl who the King had fallen for and somehow no one knew how to handle me. I was unpredictable a flaw in their perfectly laid out plan.
It made me wonder what they were all planning and why must I be in the middle of it all. It was evident that the seelie’s didn’t want another war on their hands and that the council was full of greedy shifters who wanted to control everything and would go above and beyond to get what they want and what better way to do this then to have the most powerful being in the world at your side.
