Chapter 35

VALERIA. I’m torn by confusion. Why are these monsters worshiping me as though I’m their leader? Why are they bowing down to me and telling me that they will serve me? Most of all, why do they make it sound like they served me before? I don’t know what’s happening to me. I don’t know anything. All I know is that I’m confused right now, and I need to wake up. I need to end this dream or vision or hallucination. I just need to be well. I force myself to snap out of it the way I would usually wake myself up from a bad dream. However, it doesn’t stop. It only gets replaced with another vision. The scene in my mind changes. Suddenly, the monsters in my head are gone. I thought I’m alone in the section of the tunnel, but then I notice a woman standing in the corner. In this dream, I’m slowly backing away from it, even though I can’t feel my limbs moving.
