“Emily?” Thora’s eyes widened in disbelief as she exclaimed, her voice echoed by Celia beside her. Emily looked at them both, noticing Celia for the first time. Celia was gentle and graceful, quite the opposite of Thora’s bold and brash personality. She thought, ‘How did they become friends? It seems they just balance each other out.’ “Ethan, could it be…” Thora rushed over, standing beside the two of them, her eyes wide with shock. She quickly asked, “I just saw you two together, being kind of close… Are you, like, a couple now?” Emily answered without hesitation, “Yes.” Ethan’s eyes softened as he looked at her, a small smile forming on his lips. The scene was all too clear to Celia, who felt her heart sink. Thora gasped, “Oh my god! Ethan, you’re actually with Emily Conner now? You guys… when did this happen?” Emily recalled Thora’s past actions of siding with Chelsea and replied casually, “Last night. If everything goes smoothly, you’ll have to start calling me Aunt soon.”
