"Mom! Someone died in your hands before. We spent quite a lot of effort to settle it," he said. "No one's brought it up in 20 years, but now you're trying to get people's attention? Are you thinking of dragging our entire family down with you?"
"How dare you—" Margaret raised her cane into the air.
She was about to hit him with it, but he handed him a card and told her, "Mom, you aren't getting any younger. Don't be so stubborn.
"I know you don't like to listen to Wanda, but she's my wife. You should at least try to understand my feelings."
Margaret gritted her teeth in anger. Her nails dug into her palms, hurting herself. She spat on the floor. "I'd rather not have a son like you."
"Just stop talking, will you?" Ewan grabbed her arm to support her and said, "Did the Yarwoods give us back that Zenith herb? Can you give it to me, Mom? Things aren't going well at my company."
