With a deep breath, he dialed Amelia’s number and waited for her to pick up. “Hello?” Amelia’s voice came through the line, sounding hesitant. “Amelia, it’s William,” he said, trying to keep his voice steady. “William? What do you want?” Amelia’s tone was guarded, as if she could already sense the upcoming confrontation. “I need to talk to you about something important.
