William was sitting in his study, lost in thought, when he heard a knock on the door. He looked up to see Marcus entering, a casual smile on his face.
“Marcus,” William said, trying to keep his tone neutral. “What brings you here?”
Marcus closed the door behind him and leaned against it, his smile widening.
“Just thought I’d check in on my little brother. Seems like things have been rather… eventful around here lately.”
William stiffened, his eyes narrowing.

Marcus walked over to the chair opposite William and sat down, crossing his legs.
“Oh, you know, rumors, whispers. It’s hard to keep secrets in a house like this.” William’s jaw tightened.
“If you have no intention of getting to the point, please excuse me.” Marcus chuckled softly.
“Always so serious. Fine. Let’s talk about Kimberly.”
