I had been kicked out of the family, but hearing what Grandma said still made my heart ache. Grandma must've felt the discomfort of the absence of familiar faces in the house. I hesitated for a moment before I agreed, but she actually took it seriously. "Then how about the day after tomorrow? We're planning on having a small gathering then.
