11 Deception and Revelations
Flora's car came to a halt at the gated entrance of a grand estate, a place she once called home. She rolled down her window to address the security guard, who was taken aback by her sudden appearance.
"Good evening, ma'am," the guard greeted, puzzled. "Forgive me, but aren't you... Miss Flora?"
Flora nodded with a soft smile. "Yes, that's me. I'm here to see my grandmother, Melissa. She came to visit my parent this afternoon"
The security guard hesitated for a moment, then sighed. "I'm sorry, Miss Flora, but your grandmother left just a few minutes ago. She said she needed to be home before it got really late. I suppose she had to meet with someone urgently that was why she left earlier"
Flora frowned slightly, realizing she might be the one her grandmother had rushed home for. "I see. I left my phone at home, so I couldn't inform her. It wouldn't hurt if I just went in to say hello to my parents. I'm curious to see why my family wouldn't have asked about me after
