Chapter 10
She didn't want to be a burden on her daughter, she genuinely wanted to die.
But now that she has heard what had happened to her daughter, Elena was full of life. She wanted to live once more.
She shed a tear as she agreed, "Give me the medicine, I will live for you, my dear daughter!"
"Here, I will feed you the medicine." Julia also shed a tear as she knelt down to her mother.
When she heard of the Nine-Lives Moon Pill, she thought that was just being deceived. She has heard of the Nine-Lives Resurrection Pill, but not any secret Moon Pill.
But when she drank the pill, she felt a huge surge of spiritual power, and her broken vitality was recovering.
The injuries on her body were recovering quickly, she thought it was incredible.
She wanted to ask Julia about what happened that day.
But Julia gave her a head massage and she gently whispered in her ear, "Those two must have kept you awake all this time. Don't worry about me for now, just get some sleep, okay? I'll tell you everything once you wake up."
Elena was very comfortable with her daughter's massage, and she fell asleep without realizing it.
The healing effect of the Nine-Lives Moon Pill was excellent. It was truly worthy of being called the holy medicine of life, Julia was finally relieved.
"That's right, don't worry. I'll teach the family a good lesson, they'll never mess with us again." A chill flashed within Julia's eyes.
As soon as she left her mother's room there was a servant in the courtyard waiting for her. "Lady Julia, the master is waiting for you."
Julia's eyes were gleaming with anticipation and she said with a smile, "Got it!"
The head of the Chu family was her mother's eldest brother, the first son and her uncle. His name was Oscar Chu.
Her grandfather had already relinquished his position to the eldest son and retired. He wanted to hone his skills and become more powerful for the sake of the Chu family.
Oscar was a typical profit-seeking family head. She had seen many such people before in both her lives.
He praised Julia for her talents before and he was kind to her, but when her engagement with Henry was called off he became indifferent to her. He didn't instigate any abuse but he didn't prevent any abuse either.
In addition to her aunts and uncles. There were also several strangers from the fourth uncle's family.
Oscar said to her in a firm voice, "Julia, you are too crooked to be a part of the Chu family. Your fourth aunt and your eighth sister were taking care of your sick mother and you dare to kick them into a pond. Pure insolence! Come, you must be punished accordingly."
"Wait a minute!" Julia said coldly.
She straightened her waist, she looked at him in the eye and she replied firmly, "What do mean I kicked them into the pond? They were doing their best to take care of my mother, I asked them to leave but the corridor was too small for the three of us. The eighth sister lost her balance and she fell into the pond by herself, as for the fourth aunt, she eagerly tried to save her but she ended up falling with her."
Bea wanted to spit in her face in anger. In a single day she had become more beautiful and now she lied to the family with a straight face, without blushing or looking away.
Bea replied sharply, "Julia, you should know your place. You were already a bastard child within the family, but now you also had your engagement with Henry broken off. You're not the prodigy of the Kingdom anymore. Uncle, she is obviously lying. She kicked me and my mother out of the room and into the pond out of arrogance."
"Really now? No one else is speaking out, so who can say that we're lying? Let's just settle this the old-fashioned way, I'll fight you and I'll finish you in one move." Julia looked at her provokingly.
"What? You must be joking, but fine. If you can finish me in one move, we will forget this ever happened and we will leave you and your mother alone until the next time you cause trouble. If I win you'll have to serve me for a whole week, in accordance to family law," She said domineeringly, she was unwilling to give up on Julia's beautiful clothes.
Julia lazily riled her on, "Let's go then!"
Bea Chu was the eighth daughter of the family. Compared to everyone else she was average at best in terms of both Spiritual talent and appearance. Her father, the fourth uncle, may be the weakest among the family but through his connections he was able to give her anything and everything she wanted. She was able to grow to a Fourth Level in the Condensed Body Realm and she had quadruple her normal power because of this.
Julia, was just an abandoned fiancée, with so-called talent in cultivation. She thought it was joke, finishing her in one move.
Bea had always wanted to fight Julia after her engagement was called off. Her powers have always been mediocre, but defeating the genius of the Red Spirit Kingdom would definitely earn her a bit of reputation within the families.
Sadly, Julia would never challenge her and she would never accept any challenge from anyone else. She was too docile a woman to do such a thing.
But now an opportunity had presented itself.
"Take this!"
Bea eyes flashed with the color of poisons. Julia's face was an eyesore, she wanted to leave a bloody scar on her face.
As soon as Bea made her move, the family realized that she was using the snake sword of the Chu family. If Julia gets stabbed she's finished.
Julia was just standing still. She was smiling with full confidence.
Bea lunged towards Julia, but the sword she was holding flew out of her hand.
In one second, Julia saw a weak point and she punched Bea in the stomach.
A scream came out, it felt like she was being tortured. She knelt onto the ground and curled into a ball in pain.
Everyone in the family was also stunned. "That was the Second Level of the Condensed Body Realm, but how did she defeat Bea, who was a fourth level?"
"I heard she was able to practice again, but I didn't think it was true."
At some point after her engagement was called off, she had lost her spirit cultivation talents and she became useless. She was utterly devastated when the Chu family doctor told her she couldn't practice anymore. It was a complete surprise to be able to practice again.
Oscar looked at her with glowing eyes and he was astonished. "Julia, you can practice again?"
Julia answered, "Prince William's doctors and pharmacists gave me a special pill for winning the competition and I immediately recovered my Spiritual Cultivation."
His daughter looked miserable, Julia had recovered her Spiritual Cultivation and she was slowly going to overshadow his daughter again. The fourth uncle stood up and exclaimed, "Julia, she's your older sister, how can you be so cruel?"
Julia then replied, "It was just a light punch. She's just overreacting because she didn't finish me in one move and I did."
Everyone felt that it was just a light punch but with Julia's words they started doubting Bea and her reaction.
After all, Julia was only a second level and Bea was a fourth level practitioner.
"You are lying, you must have used a trick of some sort!" The fourth uncle said in defiance.
Julia then replied confidently, "Fine then, Uncle Oscar, go call a pharmacist and have them examine Bea. I promise everything I say is true."
