Chapter 133: Setting the Tone
Alec had always thought that Phoenix had been well-behaved and mature enough, but compared to Elena Campbell, Phoenix’s good manners seemed to pale in comparison.
The most remarkable thing about Elena was not just her well-behaved nature; she was also incredibly smart and talented.
“Elena, there’s been a question I’ve wanted to ask you for a long time.” Phoenix, oblivious to her father’s thoughts, suddenly asked Elena with curiosity, “How did you meet the manager of the Neiman Marcus?”
Alec, hearing Phoenix’s question, couldn’t help but turn his attention toward Elena as well.
He was curious about this too.
“I used to visit frequently, so I got to know him,” Elena replied truthfully.
“Wow, you must be rich to dine here often!” Phoenix exclaimed.
“It’s usually someone else treating me.”
Elena’s response surprised both Alec and Phoenix.
They didn’t see Elena as someone who relied on others to get by, so it must be her own charm and capability that got her invited to such places.
