Chapter 25
An oddly pathetic sight.
Still drenched, Micah stood there by the bed, looking down at her from above.
Tiffany groaned. "It's September. Why is it still thundering?"
"The weather is more intense in Yorkville. It's by the sea, and there's an island off the coast with a weird magnetic field that tends to produce storm clouds. There are thunderstorms all year round over here."
That explained why Tiffany did not like coming here.
There were gusty winds and torrents of rain outside the window, but when Tiffany looked at that incomparably handsome face, she did not feel so scared anymore.
She got up and was preparing to ask the butler to send him a set of clean clothes when thunder struck. She jumped onto Micah without hesitation, her hands wrapping around his waist and neck while shivering slightly.
Micah tried to yank her down, but he gave up after two attempts.
