As Allen looked up, he saw Lucy's eyes were red and teary.
Allen felt a pang of concern and quickly put down his cup, comforting her softly, "Don't cry, your eyes will hurt again."
Lucy lifted her tearful eyes and looked at Allen, "Allen, I don't know why Beverly wrote that, or why those netizens say those messages were from me. I really didn't do it, I don't know how this happened."
Allen locked eyes with Lucy and asked, "It really wasn't you?"
Lucy quickly shook her head, looking upset, "You don't believe me either?"
"As long as you say it wasn't you, I'll believe you," Allen reassured her.
Lucy looked at Allen firmly, her face honest, "It wasn't me. I've always been grateful for your help over the years. How could I sabotage you and Beverly? I've always hoped you two could get married happily."
Allen nodded, "Okay, I trust you. I'll investigate this matter and give you justice."
