Chapter 147: Hostility

　　 　　 　　Casper's expression darkened, brewing a storm in his eyes as he looked at Allen. Allen shivered under Casper's icy gaze, faltering in his steps and causing Linda to trip over him. They both fell to the ground in a clumsy heap. 　　 　　The sudden commotion startled everyone. When they saw that it was Allen and Linda who had fallen, they burst into laughter. 　　 　　Linda's face turned red with anger. She pushed Allen off her and stormed away in a rage. Allen, embarrassed, got up and left the dance floor with a red face. 　　 　　Falling at a dance like this was a public humiliation. For a while, Allen and Linda would be the laughingstock among those present. 　　 　　Beverly felt a bit better seeing this comical scene. Any lingering fondness she had for Allen vanished completely after today's incident. No one would want to remember their former love if he had turned into such a repulsive man. 　　 　　Beverly couldn't understand how Allen could have done something so vulgar to her.
