A few seconds of silence filled the car before Ben blurted awkwardly, “There are several restaurants on the first floor. Perhaps she made an appointment with her girlfriends to have dinner first, or perhaps they agreed to meet at the hotel before they head out for karaoke? Isn’t it normal?” Ben paused for a moment and then his face lit up as if some idea popped up in his mind. “Look! Aren’t there a few bars next to the Grand Star Hotel? They could’ve just parked their cars in the hotel’s parking lot and plan to walk over to these bars, right? That’s possible, too! So, Sis, don’t simply make assumptions. I believe in Xena—she’s not a slutty person!” Selena was stunned. She could not believe that up until this moment, her dear brother still had so much trust in Xena, siding her without hesitation.
