"Why are you so calm? I was expecting you to meet her immediately. Seems you don't know whose daughter she is. You have been asking me about how your clan was eradicated and I think it's time to tell you. Your father, the leader of the Ice clan was a friend to the Dragon Lord but he was betrayed by his most trusted friend. The dragon lord killed your father and eradicated your entire clan, leaving you alone. You knew fire engulfed your clan right? But the dragon Lord Betrayed your father before killing him. How dare you let the daughter of such a person be alive on your watch? That makes you a weakling" his voice roared inside Charlie's head.
Since he had the fire ring on his hand, raging will clasp the fire and ice together, igniting the horror side of him.
The information did work. Charles was annoyed. He screamed, igniting the anger and making him use his most powerful ice power.
Inside the villa, the dark shadow lord giggled, turned back a black smoke, and entered Charles's head from his bloody water.
Charlie knew his father was killed by fire but didn't know he was betrayed. No wonder the ice clan power failed to quench the fire that unfortunate day.
His screams activated his inner ice power, making the tree he was tied to freeze immediately. 
"Charlie" Morgan yelled, he hadn't seen him in that position before. His eyeballs turned into a shiny ice color and his body turned harder, like Ice. It was apparent. His voice broke the dragon formation of the wood. The whole trees froze and their stream turned into Ice.
The whole wood suddenly becomes cold. The water spirit rushed outside to see what was happening and they were surprised to see Charles in that form. The rope that was used to tie them had been cut. Morgan was on the ground, shaking from the cold.
Not only did your father kill my father and terminate my clan members but he also betrayed their friendship. He roared and wanted to charge into Elena but the spirits surrounded her, ready to sacrifice their lives to protect her.
The dark shadow lord was still in charge of his brain, though he couldn't do anything but could only control Charlie.
"I don't expect you to spare her life till this moment. Her father killed your father, making you an orphan will nobody at a very young age. If not for me rescuing you, you could have also died" he kept saying inside Charles' head.
"Argh" he growled louder and grabbed the first spirit by his neck, choking him to death, and threw his body against the nearest tree.
Elena was panicking Already. He was enjoying a few minutes ago and was about to hear how to free her power from the bondage, now Charles has started the war, telling how her father killed his Clan. 
"Protect the princess" The spirit leader commanded and they surrounded her to protect her, not minding giving their lives as a payback for what her father did for them and also, as another way to stay loyal to her late mother.

Charles pulled him by his neck and smashed him against the palace wall, he coughed out blood and got weak instantly. 
"Continue, kill them all!" The Dark Shadow lord controlled again.
"My Lord" Elena yelled, seeing the spirit leader. She ran to him while the others faced Charles.
"My princess, this is what I know about your power. It's written in this scroll, kindly make sure you keep it. I've fulfilled my promise to worship your father's generation till the last breath" he uttered, handing over a scroll to Elena. Elena collected it but was staring at it.
"You have to keep it my princess, now!" He ordered.
Elena kept the scroll under her gown. Yes! Her gown had dried and she had worn it back.
All of a sudden, she felt cold from her back and quickly turned back. Charles smirked, he was a few meters apart from her. She glanced through the wood and noticed the dead body of all the spirits lying on the ground, he had killed them all.
Charles was about to attack her when the spirit leader blocked him.
"Run, my princess," he shouted.
Elena began to run as fast as her legs could reach. Charles angrily twisted the spirit leader and dropped his dead body on the floor before running after Elena.
Elena was panting heavily, she was scared. Unknowingly, her breathing had ignited her dragon blood. As she was letting out her breath, the fire was coming out of her mind and was burning the trees but as Charles was reaching there, those burning trees were frozen immediately, rendering Elena's power useless but it also paved the way for Morgan, who was tailing behind but she was feeling Cold.
The firepower broke the bondage and landed them in the modern world, where they initially came from.
Elena fell, she was already exhausted. Charles brought out his knife and wanted to stab her when the dark shadow lord left Charles's head and stood in front of him in his usual black shadow.
"Don't kill her Charles, you have your work and allow me to take over. I'll make sure she undergoes the agony that is worse than death before killing her. Calm Charles, calm" he talked to him sweetly, making Charles' body calm a bit.
"Now, you need to go back home to rest, I'll call you later" he instructed.
Charles' body went back to normal and his eyeballs changed back to his usual gray color.
Morgan was only watching, she was dumbfounded. She can't tell if Charles was the one who just did the killing inside the wood. Though she no longer felt cold, the thing still appeared to be a dream to get.
Charles grabbed her hand, and together, they bowed for their master and left.

Elena was placed at a corner and her two hands were chained. She was scared, thinking the last moment was here. If her father hadn't locked her inner mind, she would have made the right use of her power and conquered her enemy. She may even have used it to save the spirit clan but now, the worst is about to happen, she thinks.
The Dark Shadow lord on the other hand was excited. His long dream was about to be fulfilled and his mission will be accomplished in the next few hours. Now, he can rule over the magical world, he laughed out loudly.
He moved closer to another small outlet, where his experiments were put. He has been practicing it for the past twenty years, preparing for the moment to come.
He lit the particles that were inside the pot. Elena only needed to Inhale the smoke and that's all. He will be able to take the crystal stone and she will be left useless, running mad, or dying.
He lifted the pot, smiling as he carried it, moving closer to where Elena was chained.
