"Can you tell me more about the Dragon Lord?" She inquired. "Sure, my princess," the leader nodded positively. "This clan is one of the three spirit clans that we have. The dark shadow lord was seeking enough power and was fond of using our souls for his experiment. To him, we are nothing but an unrecognized spirit that doesn't deserve a life. One day, he came as usual and we began to run helter and skelter for our lives " he started the story. ***Flashback*** "He is here again! Run for your lives" the spirit leader announced and they began to run. Why would he wanna ruin them? Why is he on the verge of killing them all? They did nothing but yet, he is killing them like chickens. Does that even make sense? But they had no power to fight him since his Aura was second to none. They felt it! He was already around to take their soul as usual! He was only waiting for the best opportunity to strike. Suddenly, a deer ran across them. They began to pant heavily, thinking it was another strategy from the dark lord but their guess was wrong when it happened to be the Dragon king. He was only hunting deer for his consumption when he met the spirits. They were startled by seeing him. Why won't they be startled? A death was chasing them In the wood and another one just cornered them at the front. "Why are you running? What is chasing you?" He questioned the spirit. "Oh no! What the hell happened? What did we do to deserve this kind of punishment? Must you kill us? We also have the right to live!" The spirit leader yelled. He was hurt and felt heartbroken for failing to protect his clan members. "Calm down. I mean no harm. I'm only here for deer hunting. Is something chasing you?" The Dragon asked calmly but he was cut off. "Don't you dare tell us to calm down! You saw us as a low magical spirit and wanted to wipe off our generation from this earth? Why can't you hold the city and allow us to hold the wood? Please, stop threatening our lives" another spirit voiced out. The dragon was annoyed by the false accusations but still managed to calm down. From their looks, it's obvious that they have been stressed emotionally, physically, and psychologically. "I'll help you out. Only if you are ready to listen to me. I'm the dragon lord and I hate injustice!" He told them. They stared at each other confusedly. They are doubting if trusting him won't land them in trouble but yet, they have no other choice than to trust him since the dark shadow lord may show up anything soon. A lady among them, who dressed like a princess, came closer. However, she was in the middle before and they have been trying to protect her. She came from another clan to pay the spirit of the wood a visit when the aura of the dark shadow lord was felt and she became stranded. "Your majesty. If truly you want to help us, prevent the spirit clan from getting in contact with the dark shadow lord. They also have the right to live. Protect our wood from danger and we will worship your generation till our last breath" she Requested. The spirits were known to have water as their source of power. That's why they love to stay where there is water and they also worship water as their lord. "If that's what you want, then I'll do it for you," Dragon retorted. With his huge body, he cast some spells and screamed after them. The trees were shaking rigorously and the spirits were feeling dizzy. Suddenly, fire engulfed the woods but to their amazement, it wasn't burning the woods nor did it burn them. He stopped for a while and did some formation, which resulted in a loud thunderstorm and lasted for another ten minutes. After everything died down, the trees color changed, likewise their stream color. "What have you done? We asked you to protect us, not to worsen the situation" the princess yelled angrily. "That's what I just did," The dragon replied. "How?" She asked again. "Aside from your spirit, no other creatures will have the chance to enter this wood again, without getting burnt. Due to your water power, you are the only one that trees wouldn't burn, same as your stream. You can live in peace without any fear" he explained. They were stunned. They have never thought of meeting a savior that will save them from the dark shadow lord, talkless of any external power. They all kneeled and thanked him. "Thank you, your majesty. We are very thankful" the princess uttered. "Thank you, your majesty" another spirit also chorused. "We have one more request, Your Majesty and we will be glad if you can do it for us" the leader requested again. "What is?" Dragon Lord asked calmly. "Your majesty, according to what I said earlier, the princess only came for a visit and there is no assurance that the dark shadow lord will not attack her on her way back. We will be glad if you can take her back to her family" he asked, bowing his head. The dragon lord glanced at the princess, who was picking on her nails like an introvert. "Where is your clan located?" He inquired once again. "At the Blue mountain" she answered with a very calm but sweet voice. One would not believe she is the one who just yelled at the dragon lord. The dragon bent down and folded his wing, she signaled to her to climb on his back which she did without hesitation. After he was sure that she was seated well, he flew her into the sky, taking her to her clan members. Princess Emily's parents were already getting worried about not seeing their daughter. They were aware of how the dark shadow lord was disturbing them in a clan that resided in the woods. She was supposed to have arrived but nothing was heard from her. They are getting scared that something may have happened to her before the dragon lord arrives with her. She jumped down from his back and ran to hug her parents. The dragon also transformed into his human form. "Welcome my daughter, I was worried something bad had happened to you" Her parents hugged her tightly. "It almost Happened Father, if not for my savior," she replied. "He is your savior?" Her father asked again, motioning the dragon lord to move closer to them. "Yes, he saved the wood clan, shielded their clan from danger, and also brought me home," she explained, smiling. "Thank you so much, we are grateful" her parents thanked the dragon lord. "Come inside and let's entertain you" After he was entertained and rested, he wanted to take his leave when the king, Emily's father, stopped him. "I would like to thank you for what you did today. Not only bringing my daughter's home but also preventing the wood clan from any outside danger" he said. The dragon lord was confused, he didn't understand what he was saying. Until the king took his daughter's hand and bestowed her to the dragon lord. "I give you my daughter as a bride henceforth, take care of her and protect her with all that you have," Emily's father uttered. ***Present*** "So, my princess, not only do you have the power of a dragon but you also have the power of water. Your mother, Emily, was a princess of water spirit. Though your father was happy to get married to your mom his happiness was cut short when your mother died immediately after you were born. That was when we realized that water and fire are two major things that should not have met" the leader explained. "Is that why my father locked my inner mind?" She questioned again, wanting to hear the full details about her birth. "Exactly my princess. With both powers, you can rule the world but if you don't know how to use it well, it may ruin you. Your father was afraid of such a huge burden on your shoulders and decided to lock your inner mind. Without his crystal that was given to you, the power that was running in your blood is enough to conquer this world, if you know how to use it well" he responded. Elena took a deep breath. She now understands the reason she was taken to the temple and why her inner mind, which serves as her magical power, was locked. "I have one more question, can you tell me how I can unlock my inner mind? I want to take over where my father stopped. His legacy must continue to rule forever. I think it's high time to know how to use my power" she requested and the clan leader took a deep breath.
