In her dorm, Bailey's roommates were chatting, but she couldn't find a way to join in. She wasn't sure how.
It seemed like Bailey's roommates didn't really like her. Their gaze was distant but carried a hint of awe.
Bailey thought how nice it'd be if Stephen was here and grew frustrated. She had finished registering in the morning and spent the entire afternoon in her dorm.
She wanted to talk to Stephen early on. But he told her last night that he'd be busy today and wouldn't be free to take her out until late. She had asked him how late exactly. His answer was vague—around five or six he said.
Bailey picked a middle ground and managed to hold off until after 5:30 pm. She then immediately sent a message to Stephen.
When he replied that he would be downstairs in ten minutes, Bailey finally smiled. She quickly washed her face, grabbed a small black handbag, and stepped out of the dorm.
