With the unwelcome and ominous guests gone, the funeral proceeded smoothly. The members of the Thompson family paid their respects to Logan one by one. Wyatt walked up solemnly to Ryan and spoke gently. “Ryan, my condolences. Old Master Salvador called me last night. He said he was feeling unwell and would not be able to attend. He will meet with you later and visit Logan's grave.” Justin felt a mix of emotions upon hearing this. He was worried about Nigel’s health, but he was also comforted knowing Nigel truly cared for Ryan. “Thank you... Uncle Wyatt. I understand Old Master Salvador's sentiments.” Ryan’s eyes filled with gratitude as he obediently changed his address. He knew that Nigel’s discomfort was just an excuse.
