"Wedding anniversary?"
Wyatt turned around and stared at Hayley in astonishment for a moment before reluctantly putting on a wry smile.
"Ms. Lawson, why would you bring up your anniversary with the same man you forcibly divorced? Don't you find it absurd?"
"Absurd?" Hayley chuckled mockingly at herself. "Wyatt, do you know how this feels? When you become more successful and draw closer to your goals, besides joy, you feel more of a sense of loneliness. That kind of loneliness makes you crave someone to confide in."
