Maeve's tone turned serious, clearly wary of the ape-like creature. Wyatt helped Maeve to her feet and then turned his attention toward the elderly Demonic Ape. "It's alright, I'm here." The creature was covered in black fur and resembled an ape mostly, but it also bore noticeable differences. It was unclear where it had been struck earlier, but it was currently struggling to get up in the passageway. It continued baring its fangs despite being injured. Its crimson eyes glowed menacingly as it glared at Wyatt and Maeve, seemingly ready to pounce at them at any given moment. Wyatt's back was still in pain from the creature's attack earlier. "You wanna die?" He was extremely annoyed about being injured before even entering the passageway. He was further enraged by the elderly Demonic Ape snarling at him, causing him to step forward to kill the beast. Surprisingly, the creature showed intelligence as it seemed to realize that Wyatt was not someone it could afford to go up against.
