chapter 5 The day they were supposed to beat Carlos to death, Riel knew his dad was unhappy and could not take his words back, Riel summoned the courage and stopped then from beating Carlos to death, he gave Carlos some amount of money and told him to return whenever he has forgiven him. Carlos returned few years ago after the death of Riel's father with another name, now he has been given the position of a general by Riel and he is now Riel best friend. 'Yes she will give birth tomorrow." They were both quiet. 'Do you think this will work?" Carlos asked Riel. 'I hope it does." Carlos was very aware of the curse by the witch that night and he don't think anything can end such curse. The news of Kimberly's birth to a make child spread like wildfire around the back and beyond, but they all wondered why she is still yet to return to the pack since she had finally given birth. 'Congratulations brother." Carlos said to Riel and say on the couch. Riel didn't look happy and it was a concern to Carlos. 'Why don't you look happy?" Carlos asked Riel. Riel turned to look at Carlos and heaved a sigh. 'I don't want then to ever return here." Carlos was shocked to hear what Riel said to him. 'What do you mean?" Carlos asked curiously. 'The curse! How sure am I that it'll not affect my son when he returns?" Riel asked Carlos. 'How sure are you that giving birth to him in another pack will endure curse, brother it's a curse not an earthquake." Riel was slowly going crazy after hearing what Carlos said to him. 'Why did she curse my child why didn't she direct the curse to me!" Riel yelled and slammed his hand on the table. Carlos could understand his pain but he realized Riel failed to realize that the curse was also directed to him. 'She wanted you to feel the pain through the person you loved, remember you broke the pot that contained the ash of her dead child." The moment Carlos said this every thing flashed back fresh to Riel's memory. He remembered she cried while laying the curse on him. 'How would I have known that the pot contained the ash of her dead child?" Riel asked Carlos angrily. 'Maybe if you were a little remorseful and apologetic this could have been averted." Riel turned to look at Carlos after hearing what he said. 'Are you blaming me?" Riel asked Carlos sounding pained. 'Please, let's stop this, let your wife and baby return home, people are already talking." Carlos said to Riel and walled away. Riel realized he would have really avoiding if he was different back then. 'I was stupid." Riel cursed under his breath. *************** Kimberly and her baby finally returned to the pack a year after her birth to the baby. She walked inside the house abandoning Riel outside. Riel knew she must be very upset with him for not letting her return earlier than now. Riel carried the baby from the Omega, he looked exactly like him. He looked at the baby and was happy to finally reunite with his wife and son. He noticed the baby did not stop staring at him in the eye, and he suddenly started feeling scared while looking at his bahu in the eye, he looked at the neck of the baby and saw a black line there, he wondered what sort of birthmark it is. He handed the baby back to the Omega and entered the house. The Omega's present were wondering why a father will be so scared of his son. **************** 'Don't you dare touch me." Kimberly clenched her teeth angrily. She stood up and walked to the other side of the room. 'I know you're upset, I'm sorry." Riel tried apologizing. 'Sorry for what exactly! You practically abandoned me there." 'But we agreed to do this." Riel insisted on proving himself right. 'Not till this time, you fooled me to agree to your plan," Kimberly said angrily and continued what she was doing. 'Okay, I'm sorry, I know I have no explanation to justify my action." Riel walked closer to her and held her waist. Kimberly folded her hand angrily, turned back, and hit Riel several times. 'You left me all alone there like I meant nothing to you." She stopped hitting him and placed her head on his chest while crying. 'I'm sorry." Riel apologized again. Kimberly wiped her tears and raised her head to look at him again. 'Have you seen our son?" The moment Kimberly asked the question Riel remembered his experience carrying the baby. 'Yes, he looks just like his father," Riel said to her with a faint smile, he remembered how the baby was looking him in the eye. It was so scary that he would have thrown the can't away if he didn't control himself. 'Are you okay?" Kimberly asked Riel when he looked deep in thought. 'Yes I am." he snapped out of his mindless thought immediately after he heard her voice. 'There is a big celebration tonight to celebrate the return and the first birthday of our son." Kimberly was happy because she noticed her husband was not talking too much about the curse again. 'And you're just telling me this?" She asked him when she noticed her dress was not yet ready. They heard a knock on the door, Riel sensed it must be his surprise so he let Kimberly open the door. She left her mouth open and turned back to look at him. 'See you outside in the next four hours," Riel said to her and walked out of the room. He said four hours because he knew how long it takes a lady to dress up. When Riel got downstairs he noticed the place was getting prepared for the party holding tonight. Riel suddenly remembered the baby they are doing everything for. He walked back upstairs this time he was going to the baby room. When he entered the room, he was surprised to see how beautiful his baby room looked. He walked towards the baby, and tapped the Onega that was assigned to watch over the baby. He pardoned her for something on duty. 'Please spare my life, I will not do this ever again." She begged Riel. 'Get out." The moment she heard him she is ran out of the room.Riel walled closer to the baby again and lowered his head. The baby turned to look at him, Riel thought it was normal until the baby refused to stop stating at him. Riel noticed his baby eye had a strange color. He looked at the baby very well again and he could hear an echo of the curse that was paid by the witch. 'Stop it," He said almost in a whisper and closed his ear. 'Are you okay?" The echo stopped and Riel fell on the floor. 'This baby is evil, he was staring at me strangely." Kimberly rushed to see the baby and was shocked to see what's was going on. 'Are you sure you're okay?" Riel immediately stood up and noticed the baby was asleep. He turned to look at Kimberly. 'No, this is impossible." Riel muttered to himself still in shock.
