The entire night, Alicia avoided me.
At first, I thought it was just my imagination, but the more I observed her, the more I realized she was deliberately keeping her distance. She engaged with the guests, chatted with our families, and even smiled at the right moments—but not once did she look at me.
I watched her out of the corner of my eye, my curiosity growing with each passing moment. What the hell is going on with her?
I wasn’t sure why, but something was off.

I sighed, gripping my wine glass tightly. It didn’t matter. She couldn’t ignore me forever.
