Chapter 90: His family

Marcus drove back home to his parents’ house that day. He had been living here despite having his own room, just to avoid his parents, he had moved away from his parents. They were as curious about his life as his grandfather. Walking into the living room, he noticed his family had gathered. There were till a lot of things to hash out before his grandfather’s birthday. Seeing him walk in, his father called him to join them. His uncles and cousins seemed to be unable to agree on something. Contrary to their line of work, they were quite the harmonious family. “What is it?” he asked when he saw their distorted expressions. “We are deciding on the family subsidiaries,” his father sighed. When he heard his words, he suddenly understood. Their family had a large web of businesses, but his father, as first son, was handed the core business, Hunter Group. This was their public image and it had to be maintained. When every child was of age, they would be given a set amount of mo
