Chapter 21: Fainting

Nancy didn't sleep well all night, so the next day she had to put on heavy makeup to make herself look presentable. When she arrived at the company, she saw Blanche being surrounded by several female colleagues in the lobby. "Oh my, such a big pink diamond! Daniel treats you too well, doesn't he?" "And those pink diamond earrings, so delicate and lovely, they really match your temperament, so cute!" "Dressed in all pink, isn't this every girl's dream?" Nancy noticed Blanche wearing that necklace to the office, all dressed in pink, looking youthful and lively, almost too much like a little girl. Nancy was different from Daniel's many companions, but Blanche's childishness was also unique. None of Daniel's previous companions had been like this; she really seemed like a teenager.
