Chapter 123: Always Carrying Along
It seemed like Nancy had grown accustomed to being mocked, and somehow, it didn't hurt as much anymore.
She swallowed hard, raising her head to look at Daniel with indifference.
"If that's how you want to think, so be it. After all, Blanche is your official girlfriend, and she just reminded me of that."
"The truth is clear to everyone, so why bother? I just don't want to be the scapegoat, that's all."
She had shouldered too much blame for Blanche, and she believed Daniel knew it.
Today, she simply refused to take on any more blame for her. Yet, Daniel saw it as scheming, disgusting.
She wasn't Blanche's substitute, so she wouldn't bear the blame for her.
"It's your honor to be Blanche's scapegoat."
"I've said it before, if Blanche gets in trouble, I'll help her."
Leaning against the wall, Daniel looked down at Nancy in a superior manner.
Nancy felt her body losing warmth.
He'd said this before, so was his way of helping Blanche making Nancy the scapegoat?
