Chapter 233: An Opportunity

Mona glanced up from her desk as Mark's twins, Sarah and James, toddled into the office, their small hands clutching onto each other as they looked around with wide-eyed curiosity. A warm smile spread across Mona's face as she greeted them. "Hey there, you two," she said cheerfully, reaching out to ruffle Sarah's hair gently. "Are you here to see your dad?" Sarah nodded enthusiastically, her blonde curls bouncing with the movement. James, ever the silent partner, simply blinked up at Mona with big, brown eyes. "Well, your dad's in a meeting right now," Mona explained, leaning back in her chair. "But don't worry, you can stay with me until he's done." Sarah's face lit up with excitement, but James remained reserved, still taking in his surroundings with cautious curiosity. Mona quickly cleared a space on her desk, scattering a few papers to make room for the twins to sit. She pulled out some coloring books and crayons, hoping to keep them entertained while Mark was busy.
