Amelia sat on the edge of the bed, her hands trembling as she clutched the crumpled tissues. Tears streamed down her cheeks, leaving wet trails on her face.
She couldn't shake off the overwhelming feeling of guilt that consumed her. Her heart felt heavy as she watched her children playing in the living room, oblivious to the turmoil within her.
Mark, her husband, entered the room, concern etched on his face. "Amelia, what's wrong?" he asked softly, sitting beside her and placing a comforting hand on her shoulder.
Amelia looked up at him, her eyes red and puffy. "Mark, I... I think I'm a bad mother," she whispered, her voice barely audible amidst her sobs.
