CHAPTER 116 A FATHER FIGURE
The morning sun filtered through the curtains, casting a warm glow over the living room where Mark and Amelia busied themselves with preparations for the twins' fifth birthday party. Streamers hung from the ceiling, balloons bobbed cheerfully in the air, and a colourful array of presents adorned the coffee table.
As Mark carefully arranged the final touches on the birthday cake, a sense of pride swelled within him. He couldn't wait to see the joy on Sarah and James' faces when they walked into the room and saw the decorations, the presents, the love poured into every detail of their special day.
"Mark, can you help me hang this banner?" Amelia called from across the room, holding up a string of colourful letters.
"Sure thing, babe," Mark replied, hurrying over to join her. "Let's make sure it's straight."
Together, they carefully hung the banner above the doorway, stepping back to admire their handiwork. "Looks perfect," Mark said with a smile.
