"I understand, Dad," Ruby nodded.
"That's good." Just then, James' phone rang. He picked it up and said, "Alright, we'll be there by five."
Then he turned to Ruby and said, "Ruby, come and have lunch with me." It wasn't just an invitation; it was an important meeting where some influential clients would be present.
Ruby went with her father, while Hazel remained in Logan's office. She had no intention of leaving.
"Mr. Logan, can you teach me how to manage accounts?" Hazel asked sweetly.
Logan's eyes flickered for a moment, but he replied sternly, "Miss Smith, you are not allowed to touch these documents."
Hazel immediately withdrew her hand and, with a smile, sat beside him. Casually—or perhaps deliberately—she rested her hand on Logan's knee.
