Chapter 88
MADISON’S POV
Whirring equipment forced me to hold my stomach each time with a jarring beep. Overwhelming scent of medicine, antiseptic, was filling air within and overpowered by floral perfume guests had left on their bedside.
Mother lay in the hospital bed with a pinched white face. Bandaged father rolled and maintained blazing eyes in which lids were filled with pain but never diminished in its intensity.
