Chapter 37
MADISON’S POV
Weighted with expectation, I sat as straight as possible in the grand living room of the Harrington family. My father, Victor Harrington stood near the fireplace; his sharp features bathed with dancing shadows from the fire. He looked every inch the formidable patriarch that he was-smooth, authoritative, commanding and controlled-but tonight, there was something stretched over his face.
Ethan was slouching lazily against the wall, his lips twisting smugly as he told them all how we'd overheard Aria Ravenwood earlier that day at the restaurant. I knew what was going to go down, and my stomach curdled with it.
"So let me get this straight," my father spoke, the thread of his words woven through with disbelief. “Aria Ravenwood said she will be attending the Harrington new launch with Madison’s designs?”
