Daniel's POV I couldn't believe it. Third time, I had called out to Kimberly to put the pieces back together, and third time, she answered me back with apathy. The sting of rejection was deeper than I had anticipated, but simply I just could not let her be. I had saved her when nobody else bothered. I had picked her up from the gutter when the world turned its back on her. Wasn't she supposed to be grateful?
