XAVIER'S POV
I had not expected Kimberly's question, that's why I froze on my spot. I had been preparing for the day I would have to open up to her about my parents so I was able to cover my shock and uneasiness with a smile.
"Are you sure that you are not going to regret this, Kimberly?" I asked her. "You might get tired of me and want to divorce me in the future?"
She blinked not at the intensity of my inquiry. "I’m not going to regret it."
I smiled at her and tilted my head to one side. "Because if even you do, i won’t let you go.”"
Her eyebrows had furrowed for an instant, but she did not move back. “I married you, so I’m not going anywhere.”
There was something underneath the way that sentence had been said that struck a chord.
