26 Saddest Goodbye

I hugged Kenny for the hundredth time that day, and then I hugged her mum again. “I’m going to miss you so much,” Kenny said holding my hands. A tear fell off my eyes, I didn’t want to look at her because I was afraid we would create a crying scene.
“I’ll miss you more, you’re the best friend in the whole wide world,” she smiled and smirked, “I know right.”
I pinched her shoulder and we both burst into laughter and tears at the same time. “I’ll call you every day, don’t get tired, okay,” she said hugging me again. “never,” I whispered close to her ears. The taxi driver honked for the millionth time again.
“You should go now,” I said as I slipped out of her embrace. Kenny entered the back seat, and her mother entered the front, and then the driver started the car.
“Bye Americana,” Kenny said wiping her face with a handkerchief.
