Chapter 7: Sleeping With A Billionaire

She dreamed of William Colton every night for a week straight. He was always sleeping beside her, but her mind went back to their first night together and the fantasies she had cooked up since then. She would wake up chilly from the wet dream and see him passed out beside her. Sometimes, she would be busy preparing for class the next day and he would bother her. In those moments, Sarah would want to bang William’s head against the table. Since they had gotten ‘friendlier,’ she had a hard time thinking of anything except for him. Sarah was about to enter her class when she heard a voice cut in. “Having a good morning?” she heard the familiar voice say. Sarah yelped and accidentally knocked over her coffee all over the floor. She mumbled a curse and turned to the man leaning against the door frame, looking like a model posing for a magazine cover. He straightened and helped Sarah clean up the coffee on her shoes. Her face was warm with embarrassment as her eyes flitted to the crowd of rowdy students. There were a few minutes left before class, so she ducked away from their direct sight. “Sorry Sarah, I didn’t realize you were walking around blindly,” he murmured with amusement as he tossed a tissue into the small waste basket near them. “It’s my fault for not paying attention,” she said. It was his fault for making her all dazed. But she wasn’t going to admit to that. “I would prefer if you didn’t bump into other men,” he offered. Sarah saw a student poke their head around the door and whisper when they saw their senior talking to a man while she stood in the middle of a mess. “So, why are you here?” Sarah asked with a little composure. William cleared his throat. “There is a new restaurant that opened up across the university. If you are free, do you want to try it with me for lunch?” Sarah’s mouth dropped open and she snapped it shut. “You stood outside my classroom just to ask that? Did you forget that we have phones?” she hissed. “Miss Mitch, will we have our class today?” The same nosy student called. Sarah looked over her shoulder and made sure to hide William so that no one recognized him. “No, I was just coming,” she announced and shooed the student away. She turned to William. “I’ll message you after class.” She walked away without another word, leaving William alone. Sarah had subjected herself to meals that were swiftly cooked because she was short on time. Moreover, she wasn’t too awake without her coffee. As she started the class, the nosy student passed on the news of the substitute teacher flirting in the corridor. Before Sarah had started her class, William had already picked up his phone and called his assistant. “Luca, can you order a large drip coffee with cream and sugar from the bakery beside the university?” “Is it for you? Do you want some for the dean of students, too?” Luca asked. “No, it's not for me. Please make sure it is delivered to Sarah’s desk.” He hung up the phone with a polite click. He threw a glance at Sarah, who was already teaching and made his way to the Dean’s office. He had to discuss placements in his company. He really had to pull Sarah to his side when the time came. - - - - - Sarah heard a knock on the door and looked at it in annoyance. “Who ordered coffee?” she asked, her voice cold. She had not had her morning coffee and these people were ordering in the middle of class. When no one responded, the delivery person spoke up. “It’s for Miss Sarah Mitch.” He walked over and placed the large mug in front of her. Sarah blinked in surprise. “How much is this?” she questioned, unsure who had ordered it. Her phone pinged and she saw a message on the screen. [See you at lunch- William.] “It’s paid for,” the delivery guy said before going away. “I got a look at the guy she was flirting with,” the nosy student whispered to the guy beside her. “Damn, she is taken?” Sarah ignored these students and ended up giving them a large homework to get her revenge. They moaned and bitched, but Sarah felt pleasure in their misery. - - - - - Sarah ducked out of class as soon as it was over, leaving the students in the dust and going out. She was right at the university gate when she noticed a car that was out of place. The expensive Ferrari could easily be a student’s but as she was passing by, the driver’s window rolled down and William smiled brightly at her. “Get in,” he commanded. Sarah’s eyes flitted to the peanut gallery who were exceedingly interested in the limited edition Ferrari parked outside the university. This was not a car everyone could ride! Even money couldn’t buy it, but a student who was carrying a tattered bag slowly slid into it without complaining. “Can you make less of a show?” Sarah asked. William furrowed his brow in confusion. “What show? I came to speak to the Dean and wanted to say hello to you. How am I out of line?” he challenged. “Drive,” Sarah demanded when she saw one of her students inching closer to the car. William raised a brow and gritted his teeth before he started the car. “Why did you meet the Dean?” she asked, changing the subject. “Did you forget I am an alumnus of the university?” he questioned. He was unhappy with being hidden like a dirty secret. He had noticed how she had ducked away from view before. “Still…” he started. “Are you afraid that I will make a show?” he asked, anger filtering into his voice. “You keep appearing everywhere unannounced. I am a simple college student who doesn’t want to be part of rumors.” “It’s not a rumor if it is true,” William countered. Sarah rolled her eyes. “It is a rumor if people think I am sleeping with a billionaire for benefits.” William huffed. “That’s a perfectly good way to make your way in the world!” he said. “And I am allowing you to benefit from sleeping with me. Isn’t that what boyfriends are for?” The word made her jump. “Boyfriend?” she repeated dumbly.
