“Well, my work here is done,” Amanda said quietly. “Wait,” Sarah said, grabbing her wrist when Amanda moved away. Amanda’s brow rose and Sarah slumped. She couldn’t control the guilt she felt. “You shouldn’t leave. I’m not going to go off without you,” she said sincerely.
