That was really what they thought of me? A home wrecker? I asked myself almost in disbelief as I laid dispiritedly on the hospital bed.
I was in good terms with everybody at the office except Elena, of course.
So that made it unbelievable that they could say things like that about me, whoever they were.
Henry was now sitting on a chair right beside me, staring at me pitifully as I looked directly at the ceiling.
I turned to see his face and met the most concerned eyes I had ever seen.
Henry and I had met in school years ago when we attended the same university.
And it was a thing of joy when we got employed at the same organisation even if we were doing different jobs.
He was that one person who always looked out for me at work, perhaps the only person.
"Don't worry about me, Henry. I'm fine." I said, trying to sit up on the bed.
