Chapter 16 - A night of revelation

Alex took the other scoop of ice cream that he had dished in Emily’s favorite bowl and headed upstairs to Emily's room. He found her half awake lying in bed with a faint weak smile on her face. "My Sunshine, I brought you some ice cream. I used your favourite bowl." Alex said, holding out the bowl to her."Vivian, if I'm correct, made it especially for you." Emily's eyes fluttered open, and she smiled weakly at Alex. " Yeah, it's Vivian and thanks, Alex for this. That's so sweet of you." Alex smiled back and handed her the bowl. "You're welcome. I'll let you enjoy it. I'm going to go study for a bit." Emily nodded, taking a spoonful of the ice cream. "Okay. I'll call you if I need anything." He leaned over and kissed her forehead. "I'll be just downstairs ok? if you need anything call me or yell my name." Emily smiled feeling like a child. "I will. Thanks again, baby." He smiled and turned to leave, feeling a pang of guilt for the desire he'd felt for Emilia just moments ago. He
