Hazel awoke to the sound of her phone vibrating on the bedside table, its persistent buzzing cutting through the haze of her hangover. Her head throbbed with every pulse of her heartbeat, and she groaned, shielding her eyes from the harsh morning light streaming through the curtains.
She reached blindly for her phone, squinting at the screen. The name "Siobhan" flashed across it, and she hesitated for a moment before answering.
