Chapter 28 Helen walked back to the party in search of her son, when her eyes caught him talking with someone. She walked up to them. As she got closer, she realized that the stranger he was with was Samantha. She wondered if Samantha was the reason Nicole looked sad. She knew Nicole was hiding something from her, but she didn t want to pressure her if she didn t want to say anything. "Samantha? I didn t know you came." Helen said as she approached them. "It s good to see you again, Helen." She replied with a smile. "Same here dear. Um, can I steal my son from you for a while. I need to talk to him." Helen requested "Sure, we can continue our conversation later. Right Gabe?" she asked. Gabriel only smiled in reply before excusing himself and leaving her presence with his mom.
