Tyler didn't have time to gently probe for details. "Let her rest for now," he said firmly.
Sometime later, Olivia seemed to perk up a bit. As the doctor checked her over, Tyler stroked her cheek with concern. "Feeling any better?" he asked softly.
She looked up at him. The pain in her head had subsided, and she began to relax.
Tyler's grip hardened. Olivia had shown him no response. "Do you know what caused this?" he asked the doctor, his gaze hardening.
The doctor studied Olivia, noticing the distant look in her eyes but couldn't diagnose her right away.
"This situation is complex," the doctor admitted slowly. "We need to do more tests to understand what's wrong."
Tyler's scowl deepened. He had heard doctors say things like this before. He tried to keep his face neutral, not wanting to upset Olivia. He gazed into her eyes.
Their eyes locked, and he sensed a change in her. She used to look at him with reliance. Now, there was a hint of doubt.
This made Tyler feel a bit sad. H
