Chapter 596
Jacob made his way to the elevator quickly. He pulled out his phone and called a number he had not pressed for ages.
No one picked up. He called repeatedly.

Olivia was now home. She returned to her bedroom and heard a ringing phone. She scanned around in confusion until she looked at the head of the bed. Her phone seemed to be ringing.
She pulled open the bedside drawer and saw a phone vibrating. She took it out—there was no name attached to this number.
'Who is this?'
She could not recall anyone, so it was hard for her to decide if she should answer it or not. Before she could, however, the call ended.
In its place, a text message popped up. [Are you there? Can we meet?]
Olivia was befuddled. What did this person expect from her? A "yes?" Why? Were they supposed to know each other?
