Olivia looked at Darren, who seemed tired as she lay in bed. With a weak voice, she reassured him, "Don't worry, Dad. Naomi is a lucky girl. She'll be fine."
Darren, his eyes filled with tears, replied, "I think so too. We'll only relax when she's completely okay. Hillary was so devastated when she heard about Naomi's condition. She wanted to die with her. It's good that Naomi's doing better now, otherwise, I can't imagine what would have happened."
"Make sure Aunt Hillary knows Naomi is better now and will stay that way," Olivia suggested.
"I hope so," Darren responded, wiping his tears. He then asked, "I heard Naomi fainted outside your room. What happened?"
Olivia avoided his gaze, her lips trembling. "Naomi..." She paused, unsure of what to say, then added quietly, "I don't know."
She quickly looked down, fidgeting with the blanket.
Darren observed her for a moment then decided not to press further. "It's not important now. The main thing is Naomi is okay."
