But Olivia kept eating pancake after pancake, stuffing one piece after another into her mouth. She didn't stop until she felt like throwing up.
That night, Olivia found herself at the bar again. She ordered a lot of drinks and sat alone at the counter, drinking steadily.
While she drank, she didn't notice Tyler standing not far away, his eyes fixed on her. There weren't many people in the bar that night, and for some reason, it was unusually quiet.
After a few sips of wine, Olivia found it had lost its taste, so she poured herself a glass of strong liquor and downed it in one go. As the liquor burned down her throat, she slammed the glass onto the table.
She lowered her head and laughed, her laughter carrying traces of bitterness and mockery. Still unsure of what alcohol truly tasted like, she continued pouring herself more, drinking one glass after another.
Tyler, still standing in the shadows, watched her. Without another glance, he turned and left the bar.
