Seeing Tyler won't answer, Olivia smiled and continued, "I seem unfamiliar to you now because I'm no longer that soft, weak person your family could manipulate. In a way, I should thank Claude. Without him, I wouldn't be where I am today."
She smiled again, adding, "Or perhaps what you truly dislike isn't how much I've changed, but the traces of Claude lingering on me."
Within seconds, a hint of weariness appeared on Tyler's face. His gaze lingered on the steering wheel for a while before he spoke, his tone cold and distant, "Say whatever you want. Think whatever you please."
Silence settled between them once more, and the car became void of any sound.
After an unknown stretch of time, they arrived, with Tyler breaking the silence. "Go ahead."
Olivia didn't need his reminder. She opened the car door decisively and stepped out, walking straight toward the building without looking back.
