Olivia met Tyler's cold gaze with a light chuckle. "Yes, that's exactly how it is."
Tyler's grip on her cheeks tightened, causing a sting of pain. Yet, Olivia didn't flinch, maintaining eye contact with him.
Seeing her defiance, Tyler sneered, "What gives you the right to look at me like that?"
"You owe me more, Tyler," she retorted. She never felt indebted to him or the Harrises. Not even when she took the document and sought refuge with Claude did she feel guilty.
Tyler scoffed, his voice echoing in the silence of the car. "Oh? I owe you more? Are you sure about that?"
"What else? Do you think it's me who owes you?" Olivia challenged.
"I really wanted to strangle you whenever I thought about Grandma's death." His tone shifted momentarily before he added, "But let's not talk about that for now. Let me ask you something. Do you even deserve to be a mother?"
His words pierced Olivia like a dagger. She tried to pry his hand off her face, but it remained as unyielding as iron.
