Chapter 1428
Olivia rested her hand on her forehead for a long moment. For some reason, her head throbbed more than usual today. In a hoarse voice, she asked, "How long did I sleep?"
The maid replied, "Only an hour, ma'am."
Olivia blinked in surprise. She had thought she'd slept longer. Still rubbing her forehead, she nodded absently, her thoughts elsewhere.
The maid stepped closer. "Do you have a headache?" she asked gently.
"Mm-hmm, a little," Olivia answered with a small frown.
The maid tilted her head with concern. "You haven't been sleeping well these past few days, so I closed the windows earlier. Too much wind isn't good for you."
Olivia responded with a quiet hum, not saying much.
"Shall I bring you some medicine, ma'am?" the maid offered.
Olivia took a deep breath and spoke softly, "No need."
She didn't feel like lying in bed anymore. The urge to rest had disappeared, so she got up.
